Singer-song writer Linda Boyle lives in the Northern Black Hills, where her writing and songs have been greatly inspired by the beauty of the flora and fauna of He Sapa, and the sacred nature of this place. As a social historian and educator, her repertoire includes hundreds of well-researched traditional, Old Time, Blues, and songs from many countries, cultures and languages.
She has an extensive list of original songs. With seven albums to her credit, two newer albums are predominantly original songs about the Black Hills: “Black Hills Comfort”, and the children’s/educational album: “The Forest Island: Songs of the Black Hills”. A companion color illustrated book and a booklet of lesson plans will be out early next year. Her latest albums are “Blood: Moon Songs & Poems” dedicated to the Red Ribbon Skirt Society MMIW, Rapid City; and “Beyond Existence”, a multilingual album of favorite songs and originals.
